
Cecilia Maramba-Lazarte, MD, MScID, MScCT
Cecilia Maramba-Lazarte, MD, MScID, MScCT, is a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, specializing in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. She is the former Director of the Institute of Herbal Medicine, National Institutes of Health, UP Manila, and Program Leader of the National Integrated Program on Medicinal Plants, where she is involved in the drug development of herbal medicines for infectious disease indications. She currently serves as President of the Philippine Association of Medical Journal Editors and Chair of the Local Organizing Committee for APAME 2026. She is also a Board Member of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines, a member of its Subspecialty Board, and Chair of its Research Committee. She was awarded as the Outstanding Pediatrician in Research by the Philippine Pediatric Society.
