Dr Vinod Ravindran is a consultant rheumatologist at the Centre for Rheumatology, Kozhikode, Keralam, India. He is the Co-Editor of the leading journal, Rheumatology (Oxford), and has served as the Editor -in Chief of the Indian Journal of Rheumatology and the Journal of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He has an active research portfolio and is an avid contributor to medical literature with over 225 publications, 12 books, 40 book chapters, and 4 journal supplements. He has over 2300 citations, an h-index of 23, and an i10-index of 53. Promoting the art, science, and ethics of medical academic publishing is one of his main interests. His academic roles include teaching at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and JSS AHER, Mysuru, India, and being a member of APLAR’s Education Committee. He is the president-elect of the Indian  Rheumatology Association.
