
Dr Dwi Gayatri
Dwi Gayatri has been a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of
Public Health, Universitas Indonesia, since 2007. Beginning her journey as a Doctor in Dental
Surgery from Universitas Indonesia, her pursuit of excellence led her to Germany, where she
earned a Master of Public Health from Universität Bielefeld and a Doctorate in Epidemiology from
Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Active in academic publishing, she has served as the
Managing Editor for Kesmas: National Public Health Journal (Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat
Nasional) since 2025. Her research is widely published by national and international journals; her
2025 authored works include “Quality of Life and Pain Severity Changes Over Time in Breast
Cancer Patients Referring to Palliative Oncology Treatment in Indonesia: A Hospital-Based
Cohort Study” published in Frontiers in Global Women’s Health, and “Vaccine Effectiveness of
Inactivated and mRNA COVID-19 Vaccine Platform during Delta and Omicron Wave in Jakarta,
Indonesia: A Test-Negative Case-Control Study,” published in PLOS One. In addition to these
recent papers, she has published numerous works in previous years. Throughout her academic
career, she has also been the awardee of significant grants and fellowships.
