Prof. Ivan Neil B. Gomez, PhD, MAED, OTRP, OT, OTR, FPAOT

Ivan is an academic occupational therapist and researcher at the University of Santo Tomas College of Rehabilitation Sciences. He completed his undergraduate degree at UST, his master’s degree at the University of the Philippines, and his PhD at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Dr. Gomez holds key editorial roles, serving on the boards of Educational Gerontology, AJPM Focus, and Rehabilitation Advances in Developing Health Systems. He is also the associate editor of the Journal of Evaluation in Clinical Practice and the editor-in-chief of the Philippine Journal of Allied Health Sciences. His leadership extends to his role as Chair of the Research Committee of the Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists and as a regular member of the National Research Council of the Philippines.

His research focuses on evidence-based practice, outcome measure contextualization, neurophysiology, and rehabilitation, contributing significantly to the advancement of occupational therapy both in the Philippines and internationally.
