Upcoming Webinar for Medical Journal Authors
Join Friends of the National Library of Medicine for a webinar on “Ethical Use of AI and LLMs for Medical Journal Authors”.
Artificial intelligence and large language models are rapidly changing how researchers and authors approach scientific writing, editing, and publication—but their use also raises important questions about transparency, authorship, accountability, accuracy, and research integrity.
This webinar will provide practical guidance for medical and scientific authors on the responsible and ethical use of AI and LLMs in preparing manuscripts for publication. Leaders in medical journal publishing will discuss evolving editorial policies and expectations, including when and how the use of AI should be disclosed, appropriate and inappropriate uses of generative AI, authorship and accountability, verification of AI-generated content and citations, and other considerations authors should understand before submitting their work.
